Why it matters
How customers actually find you now
Being findable used to mean one thing. Now a search engine, an AI assistant and a maps app can each recommend you — and all three are reading the same material: your own pages, your listings, your reviews. Here's what changed in a single year.
- 45%
AI assistants are doing the recommending
use AI tools for recommendations — up from 6% — now the third most popular source
Consumers now ask an assistant for a recommendation and act on the answer. You cannot buy placement in it — it is assembled from what these systems can read about you.
- 97%
Every one of them reads your own pages first
read reviews for local businesses — 31% will only use a business rated 4.5★ or higher
Search results, AI answers and map listings are all repeating what they found on material you control. A thin or missing digital footprint limits every surface at once — and the ratings attached to it decide whether you make the shortlist.

Getting found
Built to be found
Getting found is part of the build here, not a monthly fee we sell you later. Every site launches with real pages Google can read, the words your customers actually type, prices and hours where they can be seen, and fast load times. When someone nearby searches for what you sell, you're already the answer.
What we do
Everything you need, from one small team
Most places hand you between specialists and let the seams show. Here the same people plan it, build it, and pick up the phone afterwards — so nobody gets to tell you it's someone else's problem.
A plan before a price
We work out what you actually need first — who you're for, which pages earn their place, what it costs. In writing, before anything starts.
A site that looks like you
Designed for your business, not dropped into a template. Works properly on a phone, and still looks right as you add to it.
Easy to find, quick to load
The unglamorous work, done at launch: the words people actually search for, pages that load fast, and the details Google and AI assistants read.
We're still here after launch
Hosting, backups and updates handled. New hours, new prices? Message us and it's live — a person who knows your site, not a ticket queue.
How it works
Everything that goes into it
This is the whole job, from the first conversation to the support you still have a year later. Nothing here needs a second company, and nothing here shows up on a later invoice.
- 01
We work out the plan
A proper conversation about your business first, then a written list of what we're building and what it costs.
- 02
Design that fits your business
Colours, type and layout chosen for you — and made to look right in daylight and in dark mode.
- 03
Built to last
Written cleanly and documented, so it can be handed to anyone later — including you — without a rescue mission.
- 04
Hooked up to what you use
Bookings, payments, your calendar or your till, wired in properly and behaving sensibly when something goes wrong.
- 05
Set up to be found
Google indexing, your business details where they belong, and simple numbers so you can see what the site is doing.
- 06
Looked after, month to month
Hosting, backups and security updates handled, and a written promise on how quickly we come back to you.
Who we are
Who you'll actually be working with
No account managers, no subcontractors, no handoffs. The two people below plan your site, build it, and are the ones who answer when you call afterwards.

What you sell lives in one place. It becomes the page Google reads, the page behind the QR code on your tables, and a clean copy for the counter — so one edit updates all three. Have a go: the panel below is real, and what your customer sees is beside it.

Your options
What else you could do instead
Most people land here with one of four other options in mind. Here's the honest version of each, including the ones that might genuinely be a better fit than us.
Keep the Facebook page and hope
- What it costs
- $0
- What you get
- A page people can find if they already know your name.
- Where it breaks
- Search engines and AI assistants can't read a locked social page properly. When someone searches for what you sell instead of who you are, you're not in the results at all.
A site your nephew built on Wix
- What it costs
- $0 to a few hundred, plus a favour you can't cash in twice
- What you get
- Something real on the internet with your name on it. Genuinely better than nothing.
- Where it breaks
- The day you need to change your prices and he's busy. Nobody documented the login, the domain is in his name, and small updates take three weeks or never happen.
A $99/month template service
- What it costs
- $99–$199/month, forever — $3,600+ over three years
- What you get
- A working site quickly, from a template thousands of other businesses are also using.
- Where it breaks
- You're renting. Stop paying and it disappears. You usually don't own the site or the domain, you can't move it, and anything the template doesn't already do is an upsell or a no.
A local agency
- What it costs
- $5,000–$25,000, usually billed hourly
- What you get
- Real professionals and, often, genuinely excellent work.
- Where it breaks
- Quoted in months, not weeks. The final number arrives after the work does, because anything the brief didn't anticipate becomes a change order. If your budget is over $10k and you're not in a hurry, this may honestly be your best option — and we'll tell you that on the call.
Open Sign Studio
- What it costs
- $499–$1,999 one time, agreed in writing before anything starts, plus $79/month to keep it running
- What you get
- A site designed for your business, live in about a week, set up to be found on Google and by AI assistants from day one. The site, the domain and every account are in your name.
- Where it breaks
- We're a two-person studio. If you need a hundred-page enterprise build or a dedicated account team, that's not us, and we'll say so in the first fifteen minutes.
These are the patterns we see in the businesses that come to us, not a description of any particular company. Plenty of Wix sites and plenty of agencies do excellent work. If one of the other four options is a better fit for you, we'd rather tell you on a fifteen-minute call than take the job.
See our pricingQuestions
The ones we always get
Anything else — email us. You get a straight answer from the person who would build your site, usually the same day.
How long does it take?
Most sites go live in about a week from our first call. If yours is bigger than that — a shop, a booking system, a few hundred products — we'll tell you up front what it'll really take.
What's actually included?
All of it: the plan, the design, the writing, the build, getting you set up on Google, and looking after it once it's live. There's no second company to hire and no gap for something to fall into.
Do I own the website?
Yes — the site, the domain, the content, and every account we set up for you. It's all in your name from day one, and if you ever move on, nothing needs prising out of us.
Can you connect it to what I already use?
Usually, yes — booking, payments, your till, your calendar, your email list. We check yours on the call and tell you honestly if something won't play nicely, before you've committed to anything.
What happens after it's live?
We keep it running: hosting, backups and security updates handled, and small changes done for you. New hours or new prices? Message us. You get a person who knows your site, not a ticket queue.
I already have a website. Can you fix it?
We'll look at it and give you a straight answer on the call. Sometimes it's worth keeping and improving; often rebuilding it properly costs less than patching it forever. We'll tell you which.
- 1A free 15-minute callWe look at what you have and tell you plainly what we'd do. No pitch deck, no obligation.
- 2One flat price, in writingA single number and what it covers, agreed before any work starts. Split into two payments if you'd rather.
- 3Live in about one weekYou approve as we go. Then we launch it, get it on Google, hand you the keys, and stick around.
